FVD Elemtry “Renaissance” School opens it’s doors…

I have no problem with schools built around a particular worldview of believe Islamic, Christian, anthroposophic. But in my view, one strict condition comes with it: children must be given the room to form themselves and to learn tolerance towards people who believe differently. That, to me, is the foundation of respect and therefore of democracy and of real freedom.
So again: fine that the option exists to set up a school around the ideology of, say, the parents. But in the case of FVD, I see things very differently.
FVD (Baudet) and PVV (Wilders) have elevated the ridiculing, wounding and demonising of groups of people into an art form. It serves no purpose whatsoever and will only produce more misery. They seek their allies in those layers of the population that always cast themselves as victims and always locate the cause outside themselves, rather than acting from their own strength and conviction.
“Don’t expect flowers when you’re the one throwing stones…“
The fanaticism I see in FVD, particularly towards other faiths and towards minorities such as the LGBTQ community, I find deeply worrying. The Renaissance is behind us, and as far as I’m concerned so are the values and standards of that era. I don’t want to go back to that time; we should be looking to the future, and LGBTQ people, Muslims, Christians and Jews are part of that future too. We have to work this out together.
What I believe is happening here is the deliberate shaping of tomorrow’s voters and foot soldiers. To me that reads as indoctrination, in my perception, part-funded by public money. I see a parallel with 1926, when the Hitler Youth was founded.
What kind of country have we become that this is possible? Soft healers guarding a sham democracy, is what I think. I find it saddening.
A question to FVD and PVV voters: what has your party actually delivered for you these past ten years, beyond the chance to join in the noise and feel heard in your lament?
- Did your income improve, or did you pay less tax? No, I don’t think so.
- Are your health and your living environment any better? No, I don’t think so either.
- Is there less crime on the streets? No, that neither.
- Shall I go on? Or is this getting uncomfortable?
What FVD and PVV do is sabotage all progress and decision-making by generating as much pointless noise as possible. They burn through the time and space in which meaningful decisions could be taken, for a salary higher than the average earner’s, protected by employment terms you and I can only dream of. And in Wilders’ case, bringing down a cabinet when it suits him, rather than serving society (you and me thus).
